aqua london ladies racing for life!

Never underestimate an aqua london lady. Torrential rain, miserable running conditions and injury couldn’t – and didn’t – put off our intrepid team of runners who turned out last Saturday 28th June to run Race for Life, determined to do their bit to ‘beat cancer’s butt’.

Cancer Research UK’s 5K runs are a great way to fundraise and our team were motivated to take part in this one, “Following many personal stories amongst family and friends affected by cancer.” They felt it would be particularly challenging, “considering our favourite foods are cupcakes, chocolates and most of all the beautiful food we serve at aqua london.”

But they rose to the challenge magnificently and Emira and Edita (both Reception), Kristine (Housekeeping), Holly (Events), Hannah (Marketing), Emily (Manager, aqua nueva) and team captain Desiree Dils, our General Manager all completed the race in as little as half an hour.

Of course, the biggest achievement is the fantastic amount of money the team raised, a phenomenal £5820, half of which they raised themselves and the other half in matched giving from the founders of our parent company Aqua Restaurant Group.
