A very special engagement!

Love was well and truly in the air in aqua spirit this week when we helped one very romantic guest to propose to his girlfriend in unforgettable style. Our General Manager Desiree noticed Timon and a couple of friends looking like they needed help one afternoon and naturally offered it – little did she know the request that followed would be quite so unique!

Timon and Deby are both from Switzerland and Deby was in Windsor for three weeks as part of her teaching degree. Knowing that she was spending a day in London with two girlfriends, Timon asked them to bring Deby into aqua spirit for drinks, where a special surprise would await…

With Desiree’s help, Timon was disguised as a waiter and hid behind-the-scenes as Deby and her friends ordered drinks from a (real!) member of aqua staff. But when the order came to the table it wasn’t brought by the person who’d taken the order, but by Timon – who in addition to the drinks brought a ring. Deby’s friends stepped back as Timon went down on one knee and asked a speechless Debbie to marry him…

Of course she said, “YES!”

As staff and guests applauded the newly-engaged couple, Champagne was served and they were able to toast what we are sure will be the start of a very happy life together. Congratulations, Timon and Deby – we’re so proud to have been part of such a magical moment!
