Unveiling the new aqua nueva

After many months of planning and struggling to keep the exciting news under wraps, we’re absolutely delighted to let you know that we’re having an extensive refurbishment of aqua nueva this year. The restaurant will close this Sunday, 13th April, and will re-open in early June.

Major structural changes will reconfigure the spaces to create a stunning restaurant and separate bar to a Robert Angell design, inspired by historic Spain and its sun drenched streets. An elegant palette for furniture of burgundy, dark wood and black will be flattered by pale marble walls, mosaic floors and glittering mirrors.

Head chef Alberto Hernandez’s menu will reflect the current appetite for more flexible dining, with a menu of small plates of which guests can order as many or as few as they wish, each showcasing Alberto’s style of modern Spanish cooking.

During the closure both aqua kyoto and aqua spirit will remain open ready to welcome you, and we will look forward to welcoming you to the #newnueva in early June!
