Bring me sunshine – our new Vitamin D menu!

Posted on May 13, 2014

To celebrate the imminent arrival of summer, aqua kyoto head chef Paul Greening has created his ultimate vitamin D or ‘Sunshine’ menu. Vitamin D provides essential nutrients which keep bones and teeth healthy, and our main natural source of it is sunlight. However, almost 80% of adults in the UK currently spend most of their time indoors and are vitamin D deficient – so Paul has decided to do something about it!

Japanese cuisine is naturally rich in vitamin D and Paul has used ingredients such as mackerel, harameki (Japanese mushroom), ikura (salmon roe), yuba skin (bean curd) and green tea noodles in creating his menu. Available from Monday – Saturday 12.00-2.30pm and 5.30-7.00pm, it even leaves just enough time for a quick blast of sunshine on our fabulous terrace before an afternoon at work or curtain-up at the theatre.

Available from now until August 30th, the Vitamin D menu is priced at just £24.50 for three courses and even includes a special ‘Sunshine’ cocktail, created by our bar team using Apollo 11, elderflower and grapefruit. It’s available to book now on Bookatable – so come on up and join us for this summer’s most delicious vitamin D booster!
