The #newnueva is taking shape!

Posted on May 14, 2015

Although there a still several weeks and much work to go until we can reveal the #newnueva, we’re very excited to be able to share with you a time-lapse clip of the first phase of the project!

Two cameras are capturing the refurbishment, which will see a completely new interior in both design and layout. One is covering what was the main dining room and  the other, as featured in this clip, looks down past what was the tapas bar to the back of the space.

As you’ll see, the tapas bar has now gone and will be replaced by a larger seating area with banquettes, booths and free-standing tables, on a beautiful mosaic floor. The images show how the space used to look (left) and the designer, Robert Angell’s impression of how this section of #newnueva will look.

The biggest change so far, which really becomes apparent at the end of the clip, is how the new space literally takes shape – as the curved ceiling and walls, which evoke the shape of Spanish sherry barrels, are fitted.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to the #newnueva when it opens next month – keep following the transformation here on our blog, on Twitter and on Instagram!
