In Spain, sobremesa is the leisurely time after people have finished eating, time spent in conversation, digesting and relaxing. So we are excited to introduce Sobremesa Sundays at aqua nueva, offering a menu of Spanish small plates from which you can choose any four along with unlimited cava, all for £55 per person.
aqua kyoto has long been known for its Infinity Brunch, with its luxury sushi feast and unlimited Veuve Clicquot Champagne making it the perfect way to while away a couple of hours on a Sunday. With the introduction of Sobremesa Sundays in aqua nueva, which also includes free-flowing bubbly – in this case Spain’s favourite, Cava – it’s now possible to enjoy a sparkling in Sunday brunch in both of our beautiful restaurants.

While Regent Street is famous the world over for its fantastic shopping, including flagship stores for some of the biggest names in fashion, it’s less well-known that the area the street runs through, bordering Mayfair and Soho, is rich in wonderful restaurants and bars, too.
That’s all set to change this week though, as along with dozens of other Regent Street restaurants we take part in Discover Food & Wine On Regent Street, a week-long event offering special menus and tasting events to let people know about the wealth of eating and drinking opportunities the area has to offer.

Winner of the prestigious World Class Global award, Charles travelled to Hong Kong with Luca to first showcase their Spirit of Summer cocktails at our sister restaurant aqua there, before flying back across the world to launch them here in London. All created using Cîroc Vodka, each cocktail evokes a dream summer destination – perfect for enjoying in aqua nueva’s new destination bar!
After six weeks under wraps, we were delighted to reveal the beautiful new interior of aqua nueva, designed by Robert Angell, last month. Throughout the duration of the project, wall-mounted time-lapse cameras captured the amazing transformation and we’re excited to share the finished film with you!
Six weeks of work are almost magically compressed into just two minutes, during which you’ll see the old interior taken out and the space completely remodelled, creating a beautiful central bar in what was previously the main dining room and new dining room where there used to be a bar.
Watch as the copper ceiling, mosaic floors and stunning marble-topped bar, reminiscent of Spanish traditions, take shape in the #newnueva – and then please come and visit us to see the real thing!
In every restaurant in Spain, a menú del dia - menu of the day – is offered, allowing guests to enjoy a hearty lunch at a set price. In return for great value, diners sacrifice choice, with very few options for each course – that’s if there’s any at all! Here at aqua nueva, we’ve taken the tradition of the menú del dia and – we hope – improved it, by offering seventeen different dishes, from which you can choose any four for just £21.

With the opening of the all-new aqua nueva just a few days away, chef Alberto Hernandez and his team have been busy putting the finishing touches to the menu. We were lucky enough to be invited to a tasting of some of Alberto’s new dishes recently and have been given the go-ahead to give you a preview of what’s in store.
After many months of planning and struggling to keep the exciting news under wraps, we’re absolutely delighted to let you know that we’re having an extensive refurbishment of aqua nueva this year. The restaurant will close this Sunday, 13th April, and will re-open in early June.
